This specimen was lot 34263 in Ponterio sale 177 (Chicago, August 2013), where it sold for $499. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. Toman, AH 1337(1918). NGC MS-63. Choice and original." This type was struck AH 1332-1343 during the reign of Ahmad Shah (r. 1909-25).
Recorded mintage: unknown but common.
Specification: 2.874 g, .900 fine gold, .083 troy oz AGW, 19 mm diameter.
