This specimen was lot 1385 in Sincona sale 76 (Zurich, May 2022), where it sold for 700 CHF (about US$850 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Rudolf II. 1576-1612. 1/2 Taler 1603, Hall. Selten. Vorzüglich. NGC AU55. Hübsche Patina. (Holy Roman Empire, Rudolf II, 1576-1612, half thaler of 1603, Hall mint. Rare, Extremely fine, Attractively toned.)"
This rather scarce type seems to have been struck only in 1603. It was accompanied by a quarter thaler, also from Hall.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: silver, this specimen 14.01 g.
