This specimen was lot 31497 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $2,400. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic silver Proof Piefort "Year of the Child" 50 Piso 1979-FM PR68 Ultra Cameo NGC, Franklin mint. With an unknown mintage, this impressive and captivating piefort striking offers considerable eye appeal. The fields are sublimely mirrored and the devices are pleasingly frosted, creating an overall impressive ocular experience. A similar example in our 2017 Hong Kong auction realized a hammer of $2,600."
