Great Britain 2001 100 pounds
This specimen was lot 21165 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it sold for $1,920. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 100 Pounds, 2001. NGC PROOF-70. An interesting Proof, the obverse being traditionally contrasted while the reverse is matte. This is as fine an example as one can possibly purchase." It was accompanied by KM 1022 (₤50), KM 1021 (₤25) and KM 1020 (₤10).
Recorded mintage: 900 plus 1,000 in proof.
