This five pesos was struck in Bogotá, Colombia, of a type issued 1980-89. It is common in all grades. We have not ascertained the significance of the seated female figure with bound hands. As recently as 1930, the five pesos was a gold coin the size of a British sovereign.
Recorded mintage: unknown but common.
Specification: bronze, 26.3 mm diameter.
