This specimen was lot 40067 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $2,115. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 30,000 Pesos, 1980. NGC PROOF-68 Ultra Cameo. Death of Bolivar." This commemorative was accompanied by two gold 15,000 pesos, on José Maria Cordova (Fr-142) and the death of Sucre (Fr-143).

Recorded mintage: 500.

Specification: 34.56 g, 0.900 fine gold, 1.00 troy oz AGW.
