Sincona sale 85, lot 1052

This specimen was lot 1052 in Sincona sale 85 (Zurich, October 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"IRAN, Nasir al-Din Shah, 1264-1313 AH (1848-1896). 1/4 Kran (250 Dinars) (130)6 AH ([188]8 AD), Tehran Mint. Very rare in this condition. NGC MS66. Cabinet piece. From the Kian collection, auction SINCONA 49, October 2018, lot 56. Bought from Stephen Album, Santa Rosa, 1995. Finest certified by NGC."

With the coming of the milled coinage, all of the branch mints were closed and all production was completed in Tehran. One thousand dinars made a kran and ten kran made a toman. The SCWC lists this for AH 1294-1311 and undated.
