This specimen was lot 11424 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $646. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Revolution Aguas Calientes. 2 Centavos, 1915. Square front "2". Reeded edge. EXTREMELY FINE." This coin was issued by the Villistas and was accompanied by one, five and twenty centavos. Numerous varieties exist; the SCWC mentions square and round front "2's" and reeded and plain edge.
Recorded mintage: unknown but not rare.
