This specimen was part of lot 32290 in Heritage sale 3067 (Long Beach, September 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Russian Federation 3-Piece Certified palladium Ballet Proof Set 1994-(L) NGC, 1) 5 Roubles - PR69 Ultra Cameo, KM-Y431; 2) 10 Roubles - PR70 Ultra Cameo, KM-Y432; 3) 25 Roubles - PR69 Ultra Cameo, KM-Y433. St. Petersburg mint. Stunning flawless cameo Proofs. APDW 1.75 oz." This palladium proof set was released in conjunction with a ballet-themed gold proof set. In the ensuing years, the price of palladium has risen to where it is now higher than gold.
Recorded mintage: 3,000 plus 1,500 proofs.
