This specimen is one a type issued since the reform of the peso in 1992 (one new peso = 1000 old pesos). The design was modified slightly in 1996 to drop the "N" in front of the "$" but is otherwise unchanged.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 10.33 g, aluminum-bronze ring with nickel brass center, 28 mm diameter.
