This specimen was lot 39386 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $65. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Silver 1/4 Onza, 2006. Mexican (Potosi) Mint. PCGS MS-69." This design was introduced in 1996 and was still in production as of 2024. Other sizes struck in 2006 include 1/20, 1/10, half and one ounce in silver.
Recorded mintage: 15,000 plus 2,900 proofs.
Specification: 7.77 g, 0.999 fine silver, 27 mm diameter.
