This specimen honors the bicentennial of the birth of Benito Juarez, president of Mexico. The module matches the hundred peso commemoratives issued for the states. This one is slightly scarcer than that series. The coins are the same weight and diameter as the bimetallic fifty pesos of 1993-95 (KM 571).
Recorded mintage: 49,913.
Specification: 33.94 g, brass outer ring with 0.925 fine silver center, .500 troy oz ASW, 39.0 mm diameter, segmented reeded edge.
