This specimen was lot 577 in Sincona sale 6 (Zürich, May 2012), where it sold for 1,600 CHF (about US$1,969 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND Bayern, 1806 Königreich Ludwig I. 1825-1848. Konventionstaler 1837. St. Michaelsorden. Fast FDC. (kingdom of Bavaria, Louis I, 1825-48, convention thaler of 1837 for the Order of St. Michael, choice uncirculated.)"
This type of 1837 is somewhat scarce. The convention thaler was 28.06 g; the later vereinsthaler was 18.52 g.

Specification: 28.06 g, 0.833 fine silver, .751 troy oz ASW; this specimen is 28,04 g.
