Sincona sale 19, lot 474

This specimen was lot 474 in Sincona sale 19 (Zürich, October 2014), where it sold for CHF 600 (about US$752 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "5 Kopecks 1820, St. Petersburg Mint, ПC. About uncirculated." This type is listed for 1810-26 and has a low catalog value in circulated condition. This date is common and an 1820/19 overdate is noted.

Recorded mintage: 460,000 (including assayer PD).

Specification: 1.04 g, 0.868 fine silver, .029 troy oz ASW, this specimen 1.01 g.
