This specimen was lot 2283 in Künker sale 439 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €4,000 (about US$5,503 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Leopold I., 1657-1705. Dukat 1698 KB, Kremnitz. GOLD. Vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Leopold I, 1657-1705, ducat of 1698, Kremnitz mint. Extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1658-1704 at Kremnitz and is the commonest ducat of Leopold's reign. Hungary in 1698 had been freshly reconquered by the Austrians from the Turks but was not part of the Empire.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 3.49 g, 0.986 fine gold, this specimen 3,45 g.
Catalog reference: KM 151, Fr-128; Herinek 364.
