This is a two centavos coin minted in Santiago, Chile, in 1878-94. It superseded a copper-nickel type struck 1870-77 (KM 147). It is a common date of a common type struck 1878-94. Overdates abound for this series including an 1880/70.

Recorded mintage: 278,000.
