Stack's Bowers February 2024 Collector's Choice sale, lot 74867

This specimen was lot 74867 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2024), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Tokens. Worcestershire. Dudley. Copper 1/2 Penny Token, 1790. PCGS MS-62 Brown. Obverse: Shepherd reclining right under the shade of a tree; Reverse: Castle set upon a hill. This pleasing Mint State example delivers a rich amount of alluring details, with much charm and eye appeal."
