Stack's Bowers 2021 ANA sale, lot 46160

This specimen was lot 46160 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. Ras Al-Khaimah. 10 Riyals, 1970. NGC PROOF-68 Ultra Cameo. Death of Dwight Eisenhower. A brilliant Proof with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices." The total coinage of this state, now part of the United Arab Emirates, comprises several sets of NCLT's issued in 1970, including this one honoring the American president.

Recorded mintage: 4,500 + 1,400 proofs.

Specification: 30 g, 0.925 fine silver.
