The second specimen was lot 34581 in Ponterio sale 177 (Chicago, August 2013), where it sold for $106. The catalog description[1] noted, "DANISH WEST INDIES. 2 Skilling, 1837. NGC MS-62. Round top 3." This type was struck in 1816 and 1837. The "round top 3" is priced about fifty percent higher than the "flat top 3," which is common.

Recorded mintage: 493,000.

Specification: 1.21 g, 0.250 fine silver.

Catalog reference: KM-13.
