This specimen was lot 962 in Stephen Album sale 27 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2017), where it sold for $900. The catalog description[1] noted, "BURMA: copper-nickel 50 pyas, 1952. Lovely golden toning, NGC graded PF65 CAM, RR." This type is listed for 1952-66 and is common tho proofs are scarce. If the price realized is to be believed, this specimen yielded over ten times the catalog value.
Recorded mintage: 2,500,000 plus 100 proofs.
Specification: 7.8 g, copper-nickel.
Catalog reference: KM-36.
