Stack's Bowers November 2023 Collector's Choice sale, lot 73695

This specimen was lot 73695 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2023), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Wurttemberg. Gulden, 1856. William I. PCGS MS-63. This beautiful Choice Mint State example offers stunning eye appeal and much pleasing charm throughout." This is the final date of this type, which was first struck in 1838.

Recorded mintage: unknown but not rare.

Specification: 10.6 g, 0.900 fine silver.
