This specimen was lot 12166 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $411. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. 2 Pahlavi, SH 1308 (1929). PCGS Genuine--Rim Damage, UNC Details Secure Holder. A few tiny rim nicks." This type was struck SH 1306-1308 during the reign of Reza Shah (r. 1925-41).

Recorded mintage: 789.

Specification: 3.836 g, 0.900 fine gold, .111 troy oz AGW.
