This specimen was lot 1551 in Sincona sale 47 (Zurich, May 2018), where it sold for 650 CHF (about US$780 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"GERMANY, Weimarer Republik, 3 Reichsmark 1930 E, Muldenhütten. Weltrundflug des Luftschiffs Graf Zeppelin. NGC PF66. (Germany, Weimar republic, three mark of 1930, Muldenhutten mint. On the world flight of the airship Graf Zeppelin. Proof.)"
This type celebrating the flight of the Graf Zeppelin was issued in 1930 from six mints. The proofs are rare. It is much more common than the regular issue (KM 74) and was accompanied by KM 69 (Vogelweide) and KM 70 (Rhineland).
Recorded mintage: 75,000 + proofs.
Specification: 15 g, 0.500 fine silver, 30 mm diameter.
