This specimen was lot 34194 in Heritage sale 3082 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $2,220. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain: Elizabeth II gold "500th Sovereign Anniversary" 5 Pounds 1989 MS69 PCGS." This gold coin was accompanied by a half sovereign, sovereign and two pounds.

Recorded mintage: 10,000 plus 5,000 proofs.

Specification: 39.94 g, 0.917 fine gold, 36 mm diameter, AGW 1.1771 oz.
