Stack's Bowers September 2024 Collector's Choice sale, lot 75150

This specimen was lot 75150 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $105. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. Shahi Sefid, AH1327 (1909). Tehran Mint. Muhammad Ali Shah. PCGS MS-62. A bright argent coin with lustrous surfaces. Somewhat cru[d]e as made, but a delightful little piece." This type was struck AH 1325-1327 and is scarce in nice condition. One shahi was fifty dinars.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 0.80 g, 0.900 fine silver, 17 mm diameter.
