Stephen Album internet sale 28, lot 1628

This specimen was lot 1628 in Stephen Album internet sale 28 (Santa Rosa, CA, July 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA (PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC): 1 yuan, 1985, 20th anniversary of the Tibetan Autonomous region and featuring Potala Palace, which was once home of the Dalai Lama, NGC graded MS65." Other one yuan issues for 1985 included KM 111 (Xinjiang Autonomous Region) and KM 18 (Great Wall).

Recorded mintage: 2,612,000 plus 10,000 proofs.

Specification: copper-nickel.
