This sol was struck in Lima in 1930 for Peru. This billon coin replaced a .900 fine silver one sol struck in large numbers 1865-1916. This type was issued until 1935, when all silver was removed from the coinage.
Recorded mintage: 76,000.
Specification: 25 g, .500 fine silver, reeded edge.
