This sol was struck in Lima in 1931 for Peru. This billon coin replaced a .900 fine silver one sol struck in large numbers 1865-1916. This type was issued until 1935, when all silver was removed from the coinage.
Recorded mintage: 24,000.
Specification: 25 g, 0.500 fine silver, reeded edge.
