This specimen was lot 12440 in Ponterio sale 177 (Chicago, August 2013), where it sold for $3,672. The catalog description[1] noted, "PERU. 50 Soles, 1931. NGC MS-64." This type, struck to the standard of a United States $20 gold piece, was struck 1930-31 and 1967-69. A later type struck 1950-70 weighed only 23.40 grams.
