Peru 1826L real rev DSLR.jpg

This specimen is one of a series struck 1826-1840 at the Lima mint. The date is listed in the SCWC as a scarce date, though all Peruvian minors are scarcer in nice condition than the catalog values would indicate. Assayer JM is recorded for 1825-1830. It was legal tender in the United States until 1857 for 12½¢.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.38 g, 0.903 silver, 0.098 troy oz ASW.

Catalog reference: KM 145.1.
