This specimen was lot 222 in Sincona sale 75 (Zurich, May 2022), where it sold for 1,900 CHF (about US$2,306 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Grossbritannien | Königreich. George II. 1727-1760. 1/2 Guinea 1747, London. Old laureate head. NGC XF40." This head, the final one for George II, was used 1747-60. It is the first issue of this denomination that is not very scarce.
