This specimen was lot 1882 in Goldberg sale 128 (Los Angeles, June 2022), where it sold for $72. The catalog description[1] noted, "German States: Nuremberg. 2 ½ Kreuzer, 1778-R. NGC graded MS-62." This type was struck 1774 and 1778-79 in the name of emperor Joseph II and has a low catalog value. This coin was 1/48 of a thaler.
