This specimen was lot 24333 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (Newport Beach, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. 10 Cents, 1881. Utrecht Mint; privy mark: broadaxe. William III. PCGS MS-65 Gold Shield. Variety with dot after date. Subtle flecks of champagne yellow augment the already alluring charm of this Gem minor that is exceeded in the PCGS census by just two examples." This is a common date of a common type struck in the Netherlands 1849-90 with various privy marks during the reign of William III. It is rather scarce in nice condition.
