Fengtien (now Lioaning) Province lies north and west of North Korea, and east of Beijing. The provincial mint operated from 1897-1931.

The specimen shown was lot 60116 in Ponterio sale 162 (Hong Kong, August 2011), where it sold for $2,151. The catalog description[1] noted, “CHINA. Fengtien. 5 Cents, Year 25 (1899). 光緒二十五年奉天機器局造半角銀幣。NGC AU Details--Mount Removed.”
