The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Great Britain|GREAT BRITAIN]]. 2 Pounds, 2002. Llantrisant Mint. NGC PROOF-68 Ultra Cameo. KM-994c. An attractive Proof with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices. A part of the Golden Jubilee set for Elizabeth II." Proof sets of the circulating coinage were struck in gold in 2002. Gold proof sets were issued again in 2008 when new reverses were introduced. Several commemorative two pounds were struck in 2002 for the Commonwealth Games.
