Sincona sale 39, lot 3905

This specimen was lot 3905 in Sincona sale 39 (Zürich, May 2017), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$120 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA, Leopold I. 1657-1705 15 Kreuzer 1663. St. Veit. Fast vorzüglich. Kleiner Schrötlingsfehler am Rand. (Holy Roman Empire, Leopold I, 1657-1705, fifteen kreuzer of 1663, St. Veit mint. About extremely fine. Minor planchet defect at the edge.)"

This type was struck 1663-64 and 1675 at the St. Veit mint for emperor Leopold. It is priced about double that of similar issues from Hall and Graz.
