The first specimen was lot 31809 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $47. The catalog description[1] noted, "Carl XIV Johan 1/8 Riksdaler 1833-CB, VF30 NGC. Lightly toned with evenly worn details." The second specimen was lot 34531 in Heritage sale 3042 (Long Beach, September 2015), where it sold for $528.75. The catalog description[2] noted, "Carl XIV Johan 1/8 Riksdaler 1833-CB MS65 NGC. The single finest graded for the date at NGC. A bright white coin with spectacular mint brilliance." This type is noted for 1830-37. In the reform of 1830, the twelfth, sixth and third riksdalers were dropped for eighth, quarter and half riksdalers.

Recorded mintage: 1,032,000.

Specification: 4.25 g, 0.750 fine silver, 22.1 mm diameter.
