This type was struck in Mexico 1980-84 but the 1983 is a proof only date. The portrait is of a Maya dancer. This specimen has two conspicuous clips and traces of a third.

Recorded mintage: 250,573,000.

Specification: copper-nickel, 32 mm diameter.
