Stack's Bowers 2020 ANA sale, lot 22367

This specimen was lot 22367 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Las Vegas, August 2020), where it sold for $408. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. Taler, 1746. Vienna Mint. Maria Theresia. NGC EF-45. A darkly toned Taler with honest wear and a minimum of noticeable field marks. There is a light lamination error that runs diagonally through the face on the obverse bust. From the Habsburg Collection." This common type was struck 1746-52.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 28.82 g, 0.875 fine silver.
