This specimen was lot 2121 in Künker sale 352 (Osnabruck, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €9,000 (about US$12,525 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SACHSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Anton, 1827-1836. 10 Taler 1834, G. GOLD. RR Nur 3.080 Exemplare geprägt. Winz. Randfehler, vorzüglich. Erworben 1954 bei der Firma Grabow, Berlin. (Germany, kingdom of Saxony, Anton I, 1827-36, ten thalers of 1834. Very rare, only 3,080 struck. Small edge flaws, extremely fine. Bought from Grabow in 1954.)"
This style, with the second head, was struck 1828-36. The denomination was terminated in 1854. This coin was also called a double august d'or and was equal to a Prussian double friedrichs d'or.
