Sincona sale 83, lot 4967

This specimen was lot 4967 in Sincona sale 83 (Zurich, May 2023), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$161 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND St. Gallen. Batzen 1621, St. Gallen. Bär zwischen dem Wert, die Jahreszahl im Abschnitt. Gutes sehr schön (canton of St. Gall, batzen of 1621, St. Gall mint. Obverse: a bear divides the value, date in exergue. Good very fine)." Another, scarcer, batzen of 1621 (KM 66) has the value below. This one is rare above Very Fine.
