This specimen was lot 30339 in Heritage sale 3040 (Chicago, April 2015), where it sold for $5,170. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic gold 100 Soles 1952 MS62 NGC, Lima mint. Visually enticing with bright yellow-gold surfaces. One of the key dates in this popular series." The type was struck in Lima 1950-70 in limited numbers as a bullion coin. This date is rare. Gold five, ten, twenty and fifty soles were struck during the same period.

Specification: 46.80 g, .900 fine gold, 1.354 troy oz AGW.
