This specimen was lot 6268 in Künker sale 336 (Osnabruck, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €1,700 (about US$2,225 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"TSCHECHIEN, TSCHECHOSLOWAKEI, Republik. Dukat 1981, Kremnitz. 600. Todestag von Karl IV. Historisches Porträt Karls IV. 3,44 g Feingold. GOLD. Stempelglanz. (people's republic of Czechoslovakia, ducat of 1981, 600th anniversary of the death of Charles IV. Uncirculated.)"
This type was struck 1978-82 in the waning days of the communist regime, which collapsed in 1989-90. The SCWC includes this with its Unusual World Coins.
Recorded mintage: 10,000 proofs.
Specification: 3.49 g, 0.986 fine gold, 0.110 troy oz AGW.
