Sincona sale 63, lot 1392

This specimen was lot 1392 in Sincona sale 63 (Zurich, June 2020), where it sold for 750 CHF (about US$940 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"NEPAL, Birendra Bir Bikram, 1972-2001. 1/2 Tola 1988. Schneeleopard. Polierte Platte. (kingdom ofNepal, Birendra Bir Bikram, 1972-2001, half tola of 1988, snow leopard, Choice Proof.)"

This design also appeared on a quarter ounce asarphi (KM 1038) and one ounce asarphi (KM 1040).

Recorded mintage: est. 8,000.

Specification: 15.55 g, 0.999 fine gold, this specimen 15.53 g.
