This specimen was lot 29812 in Heritage sale 3042 (Long Beach, September 2015), where it sold for $587.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Federal Republic Proof 5 Mark 1958-D PR66 Cameo NGC, Munich mint. With deeply-reflective fields, this Proof selection boasts beautiful, multi-tonal patination and excellent cameo contrast. A select example with immediate eye appeal and a premium designation to match." This type was minted in West Germany at all the mints (D, F, G, J) 1951-74. This is a better date tho the proofs are rare. Commemorative five marks were minted to this weight standard until 1975, when the weight was lowered to 5.3 grams.
