This specimen was lot 10335 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €216 (about US$225). The catalog description[1] noted, "[[Denmark|DENMARK]]. 12 Skilling, 1716-BH. Holstein-Gottorp-Rendsborg. Frederik IV. NGC AU-58. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck 1716-20 at the Rendsborg mint in [[German States, Schleswig-Holstein|Holstein]], now in Germany. We don't know why the king opened a mint there when he already had a mint in Gluckstadt. The SCWC notes one, two and twelve skilling and half and single ducats from there.
