This specimen was lot 1111 in Jean Elsen sale 109 (Brussels, June 2011), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"SAINT EMPIRE, Charles VI (1711-1740), AR Taler, 1714, Hall. Droit : B. l., drapé et cuirassé à droite. Revers : Aigle impériale couronnée. Ref.: Provient de la collection Symkens. Superbe. (Holy Roman Empire, Charles VI (1711-40), silver thaler of 1714, Hall mint. Obverse: draped and armored bust facing right. Reverse: crowned imperial eagle. From the Symkens collection, extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1714-18 and is fairly common. Similar types were issued by Vienna, Breslau and St. Veit.
