This specimen was lot 5015 in Sincona sale 83 (Zurich, May 2023), where it sold for 325 CHF (about US$435 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "SWITZERLAND [[Switzerland, Vaud|Waadt/Vaud]], 1/2 Batzen 1809, Lausanne. ''Sehr selten in dieser Erhaltung. FDC. Prachtvolle Erhaltung'' (Very rare in this condition, Uncirculated, Magnificent condition)." This type was struck 1804-19 and is fairly common. It accompanied a one batzen (KM 8), five batzen ([[Vaud 1809 5 batzen|KM 13]]), ten batzen ([[Vaud 1810 10 batzen|KM 15]]) and twenty batzen ([[Vaud 1810 20 batzen|KM 16]]).
