This specimen was lot 1594 in Sincona sale 38 (Zürich, May 2017), where it sold for 250 CHF (about US$300 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Vittorio Emanuele II, 1849-1861 20 Lire 1860 M. Milano. Selten. Fast vorzüglich. Kleiner Randfehler. (kingdom of Sardinia, Victor Emanuel II, 1849-61, twenty lire of 1860, Milan mint. Rare. About extremely fine. Minor edge nick.)"

This type was minted at Turni 1850-61, Genoa 1850-60 and Milan 1860 only after Lombardy had been annexed from Austria. The following year, Victor Emanuel was proclaimed king of a united Italy.
