The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"[[Iran|IRAN]], Nasir al-Din Shah, 1264-1313 AH (1848-1896). 25 Dinars 1296 AH (1878 AD), Tehran Mint. Bronze. Very rare in this condition. NGC MS64 BN. Magnificent condition. From the Kian collection, auction SINCONA 49, October 2018, lot 66. Bought from Spink & Son, London, 1989. Finest certified by NGC."</blockquote> With the coming of the milled coinage, all of the branch mints were closed and all production was completed in Tehran. One thousand dinars made a kran and ten kran made a toman. This type is listed for AH 1294-1300 and 1303 and undated. It superseded the old billon half shahi.

This specimen was lot 1057 in Sincona sale 85 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 525 CHF (about US$707 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
